Fernanda De Maio is an architect and professor of architectural design at the Iuav University of Venice. Trained at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Naples ‘Federico II’, where she obtained a PhD in Urban Design, she was also a scholarship holder of the Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart for the architecture sector. Since 2000 she has practised her profession first as a founding partner of the Na.o Mi. studio and then as a consultant for the engineering company Im.Ing., realising school buildings and the redevelopment of public spaces and infrastructures. Her researches and award-winning projects are published in magazines and volumes at leading publishing houses.

Sebastián Irarrázaval is an architect and lecturer, trained at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and the Architectural Association. In 1994 he founded his own practice in Santiago. As a lecturer, he teaches at the School of Architecture of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and has been a visiting professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Iuav University of Venice and the Milan Polytechnic. In practice, he develops projects at all scales that include buildings and residential and educational complexes as well as exhibitions and stage sets. His work in the field of architecture is complemented by his activity as a critic with editorial contributions aimed at deepening and disseminating the main themes of the discipline. In 2018, the Royal Institute of British Architects awarded him the lifetime title of Riba International Fellow, awarded to non-UK architects for their contribution to the discipline.
