The emergency that has generated the restrictions we now live under forces us to reflect on the risks threatening our planet, our cities and the health of our bodies. Hence there is an urgent need for a new and shared responsibility, from which we can imagine a stronger awareness of the spaces we inhabit. We must return to the principles of architecture that regulate the equilibrium between the body of the city and the bodies of its inhabitants.
This is the condition in which we recognise the central role of the architect, when each generation must provide answers to its own questions about living together, because every community is at the same time a city, as Aristotle sanctioned.
