Cherubino Gambardella (1962) is an architect and professor of architectural design at the Second University of Naples. He was awarded several prizes and successfully participated in several international competitions. He was also often shortlisted for the Gold Medal of Italian Architecture awarded by the Triennale of Milan. He was invited to several editions of the International Architecture Exhibition at the Venice Biennale as well as to the 21st edition of the Triennale of Milan. His designs have been displayed at several museums and European, American and Asian foundations, and have been featured by the world’s most influential architecture magazines. He authored over fifteen books. He was the editor in chief of Compasses, and currently manages the magazine Dromos. Two of his architectural collages were on display at the New York MoMA in the context of the Cut’n paste exhibition. After acting as supervisor of a group of professors that won an International Competition for Universities, he built the Bio-Mediterranean Cluster for the Milan Expo 2015 (recognized as one of the best international pavilions). He was awarded the prize for the Mixed Tenure Buildings category at the ArchMarathon for Mediterranean Countries held in Beirut in 2015.
