This book is the account of an experience of two architecture professors who have worked in Naples and Southern Italy for a very long time. Although they do not deal directly with design, they have been tracing an original and natural approach of their own that has led them to practice architecture by relying on three elements – memory, technology and environment – always combined successfully. Therefore, rather than a study of the past, this text is conceived as a tool that can be used to transform the imaginative and marginal spaces currently up for reinvention and recreation into architectural opportunities.
